What are Mystical Mayhem Hippy Clothing about, how did we start and why?
At the age of 15 I was taken to my first music festival. I didn’t really know much about who I was, I wore the same clothes as everyone in the main stream and listened to the same music, I really didn’t know what I wanted out of life. At this festival I found a hippy clothing jacket that sadly after nearly 20 years of use had to be thrown away due to catching myself on fire while fire juggling ( I always catch myself on the shoulder with my fire staff).
Finding this jacket was the start of my new life. I know it sounds slightly crazy but for me the hippy jacket was an aid in helping me express myself as an individual. I had finally found a way to be myself, I started listening to music I liked and started wearing clothes that could not be found on the high street. If it wasn’t bright and unique then I wasn’t interested
Unfortunately this hippy clothing could only ever be found at festivals. This was great, because at the time with no care in the world I would run off to every festival I could to find peace, good music, friends and of course hippy clothes. It did however mean that I could only buy clothing during the summer months and could only buy what would fit in my festival bag with all my smelly muddy clothes. Long story short, is that I could never find what I wanted unless I went to a festival and as you may know, this can become quite expensive. I figured that I can’t be the only one out there that can’t always find what they want.
And so with my background in customer services and marketing Mystical Mayhem was born, it may have taken me many years to be at a point in my life where I could put my idea into motion, but back in 2010 after much thinking I decided to get Mystical Mayhem under way and have had a great response to what I do. People love the clothes and friendly customer service that we provide.
We started on eBay as just a small shop and have grown month on month which is why you are now reading this on our fast growing website. We now stock a wide range of hippy festival clothing and continue to keep growing with new clothing ranges on a weekly basis.
Clothing should be fun and express who we are so our aim is simple, to make the world a brighter place to be by selling great ethical hippy clothing and providing good customer care, what more can I add. I wear this clothing and so does my wife so who better to deal with than people who actually wear the clothing you want to buy.
We work tirelessly to make sure we are bringing you the best in hippy festival clothing. We make every effort to bring our customers new and interesting clothing styles in a variety of different cuts and fabrics. If you can’t find what you want then let us know and we will see what we can do.
We started our business in Farnborough Hampshire on the Surrey Hampshire border. We have now moved to larger premises in Redditch which is on the Worcestershire Warwickshire border where we run our online store. We love hearing from customers so please feel free to ask questions and we will be happy to reply. I hope you love what we do as much as we do.
Fair Trade Policy
We are an ethical company that works very closely with our suppliers to provide products that are produced fairly. We have a representative that visits the clothing producers several times a year to make sure the products are being produced by happy fair paid adults in a clean and safe working environment, with sufficient lighting, adequate breaks and never using child labour.
The products that are sourced for us are paid for in advance and are then made to order.
Recycled fabrics are used in our designs and production (silk sari skirts and silk bags), plus we always try to source local materials and fabrics and keep environmental pollution to a minimum.
Where ever possible we recycle any materials that are used to transport our goods, for example cardboard boxes, plastic wrappers etc. We are a fairly new company and work very hard to provide our customers with great looking products that are produced in a fair working environment. We believe in the recycling of products that are used in the process of producing our products and the use of recycled materials to produce products.
Take it easy.
