Here at Hippy Clothing HQ we like to strut our stuff once and a while and have a good old dance. If you like your dance music and love to get down and dance then the world’s leading dance music festival Creamfields is the place for you.
The idea behind this original dance festival was to provide the clubbing world with a bespoke and large scale outdoor event to give the voice of clubland a place to be heard, it has now gone on to become the most popular and renowned open air electronic music festival in the world with events held all over the world.
Creamfields started out in 1999 with 25,000 people at the outside venue in Winchester in Hampshire, live performances from Run DMC, Primal Scream and DJ sets from the likes of Daft Punk, Paul van Dyk and Sasha were to help gain media attention. become the most popular and renowned open air electronic music festival in the world.
In 1999 Creamfields moved to Liverpool and saw a jump in the number of tickets sold up to 50,000. It is now a 80,000 people a day capacity 4 day festival offering some of the most diverse dance music as well as other acts cementing it self into the festival history books.
When is the festival?
Creamfields is held on the last weekend of August and this year falls from the 25th – 28th August 2016.
Where is this great dance festival?
In a group of rather large fields found in Daresbury, Cheshire, UK (Just outside Liverpool)
In 2004 the festival was voted “Best Dance Festival” in the UK Festival Awards.
2005 Creamfields is voted “Festival Event Of The Year” in the House Music Awards.
2010 The festival is named “Festival Of The Year” at the Music Week Awards.
