Fair Trade Clothing
We work very closely with the suppliers to make sure the clothes we sell are produced fairly and in a good environment. The factories where our clothing production takes place are visited several times a year to make sure the clothes are produced by happy, fairly paid adult workers who have a safe environment to work in. We are massive supporters of fair trade.
There are so many factors companies have to take into account when producing fair trade hippie clothing and many questions that they have to ask themselves – are our workers willing, are our workers all adults, are our workers treated well and paid fairly and are the working conditions decent and conducive to good health. There really is a lot to consider and put in place before a company can hand on heart call themselves fair trade.
Fair trade really is about making sure that the items of festival clothing that we sell are produced fairly. We are proud to sat that this is something we have always taken seriously and will continue to do so forever more. Many of our clothes use off cuts to help keep waste down which is better for the producers as they save money. Producers are also paid a fair wage for the products we purchase. This means that producers can employ staff who are secure within their jobs knowing that we will provide them with on going work at fair prices.
