I have to say that I am finding it increasing difficult to put these outfits together for you. We have so much to choose from that it makes is so hard to decide. Being spoilt for choice paired with the fact that I am useless and most of my own clothes clash, this is most definitely a learning curve for me. My terrible dress sense aside, I am having great fun!
The feedback on the outfits that we are getting is great and it seems that you guys are finding these weekly ideas useful so I shall keep it up! 🙂 🙂
I have been asked before if being a hippy means that you have to wear loud and colourful clothing – the answer to that is no! You can wear whatever clothing that you like to express yourself and it can be loud and obnoxious or subtle and conservative. The choice in entirely up to you, your mood and the occasion. The job of hippy clothing is that you can wear what you like, when you like and how you like. Be happy, be creative and be expressive but most importantly of all, be you!!
My choice for this week’s outfit is one of those more subtle ones. Just remember subtle does not mean boring.
This week the outfit consists of items that are in my own wardrobe – Gringo Nepalese Thick Weave Hippy Skirt paired with one of our Cotton Tie Dye Vest Tops.
The cost for this lovely outfit is £28.98
Our beautiful thick weave skirts have all been handmade in Nepal from a thick weave cotton. Each skirt is made from 100% cotton and has a brushed effect finish. This means that the skirts is wonderfully soft. The skirt is fastened with a zip in the side with an added button. The waistband of the skirt has a small amount of give however due to the nature of this skirt, it is not meant to be stretchy. Great for all occasions. These skirts look lovely worn with bare legs in the summer and lovely worn with tights or leggings in the winter. You can wear them how you like and when you like.
Now for your gorgeous tie dye vests. These babies sell like hot cakes all year round and we are constantly having to get more in. Not that we are complaining 🙂
These great looking soft and stretchy vest tops have all been handmade and hand dyed in Thailand. Each and every one is different and is made from a mix of Viscose and spandex. These vests will go with literally anything. The skirt in this picture and may others, check! A lovely pair of jeans, check! Anything!
We thought that a lovely accompaniment to this outfit would be some of our pretty wooden hair forks.
These wooden hair forks are such an easy and effective way to keep your hair up and away from your face. Simple yet stylish. These hair forks have been handcrafted in Bali Indonesia from 100% natural wood.
A prefect accessory for all outfits and look great for all occasions. Available in may styles.
Please note that all of the items shown here are handmade and most are available in varying different colours and sizes.
